Charter explained

The Rotherham Charter wants to make sure you have a more positive experience when attending your school, setting, college, or if you are using services.

Within your school, setting, college or service you should feel:

Welcome and Cared For
The adults that you work with will show that they care about you and are interested in you.

Listened To
The adults that work with you will make time to listen to what you have to say and use this when making decisions about you.

Valued
The adults that work with you will include you in the things that matter to you.

Equal
The adults that work with you will help you to share your opinions and be part of decision making.

Trust
The Charter aims to develop a level of trust, so that everyone has the chance for their voice to be heard.

These are known as the Rotherham Charter principles.

The Rotherham Charter works with you and your school, setting, college or service to make the principles happen.
